Hurricane Rita and my In-Laws

Reading Time: 1 minute

In Houston, Texas, we have those on my Mother-in-Law’s side of the family that have already evacuated (very wise) and those on my Father-in-Law’s side of the family who are staying through this hurricane (not so wise).

My Wife has attempted to pursuade her Dad, Step Mom, 1/2 brother, Aunt, Uncle, Grandfather and Grandmother to evacuate. Dad insists he safe behind a line of trees in Bazoria County.

I guess some people really are under estimating the power of Hurricane Rita.

I only regret this might mean we will have to attend some funerals in addition to assisting with cleaning and repairs.
